Lakeside Lawn Bowling Club

The club is located near the Museum of Science and Industry in Jackson Park at Science Drive and South Lake Shore Drive, the first stoplight south of 57th Street and north of 63rd Street.

The club welcomes everyone.  Play starts at 1:00PM on Saturdays and Sundays and at 6:00PM on Tuesday nights, if there is an interest in evening bowling again.  The Saturday and Sunday starts are earlier for tournaments or holiday events.  Thursdays are available, but need to be arranged in advance.

Even if you drop in and some planned activity is underway, there are people around who would be happy to teach you about they game they love.

There is never a charge for lessons or use of the club bowls while learning.  Only flat soled shoes are required and comfortable clothing.

Club membership is surprisingly inexpensive.  The charge for the season is less than what you would pay for a round of golf.  We also offer a daily fee, if you aren't able to play regularly. This is a public facility, maintained by the Chicago Park District.

In line with British traditions, play stops at 3:00PM for afternoon tea.  If you have questions you can contact us at the Contact Us page.
